Chase Budinger: NBA Star and Olympic Volleyball Player

Early Life and Basketball Career

Chase Andrew Budinger was born on May 22, 1988. He played basketball for the University of Arizona, where he earned All-American honors. Budinger was drafted 44th overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2009 NBA Draft.

NBA Career

Budinger spent six seasons in the NBA, playing for the Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, and Brooklyn Nets. He averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game in his NBA career.

Transition to Volleyball

After retiring from basketball in 2016, Budinger pursued a career in beach volleyball. He competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, representing the United States with partner Casey Patterson.
